Studiotrade, founded in 2010, is a European cooperation network of choreographers, producers and dance organizations that promotes the international exchange of studio facilities for research, creation and introduction to new markets and contexts for dance artists.
Its philosophy is based on trust, fairness, generosity and commitment, fostering links between guest artists and local communities. Each member contributes according to their means, providing logistical, technical and production support, professional meetings and engagement with the public, with the aim of rooting and contextualising the artistic work in a collective ecosystem.
Studiotrade is a networked platform that allows artists to experiment with models of creation, production and documentation, fostering an international dialogue on artistic practices and cultural mediation.
Since 2014, it has been a regular feature at European events such as the Cannes Côte d’Azur Dance Festival, Euroscene Leipzig and the biennial Sharing Across Borders festival in Cologne.
Vo'Arte (PT) is a founding member of the network, along with Silke Z. resistdance (GE), Compagnie Humaine (FR) and Legitimate Bodies (IR).
REDIV
REDIV is a network of professionals, researchers and artists that develops projects and initiatives in the fields of curation, dissemination, training, management, production and research relating to videodance.
It brings together Ibero-American festivals and associations dedicated to promoting Dance on Screen, fostering co-operation, knowledge-sharing and the exchange of artistic practices within the context of audiovisual dance creation.
Vo'Arte joins REDIV through InShadow - Lisbon Screendance Festival, thereby strengthening its international reach and its commitment to the development and promotion of videodance in Ibero-America.
Artist Residencies
Soudos – Rural Space of Arts
Based in the parish council of Paço, in the municipality of Torres Novas, it is a space for artistic residencies produced and programmed by Vo'Arte, in partnership with AAC-Soudos - Associação Amigos da Cerca. It is a privileged place for hosting, experimentation and creation, with a special focus on the performing and audiovisual arts, promoting cultural decentralisation and exchange between artists, national and international structures and the local community.
As a transdisciplinary laboratory for creation, training and sharing, Soudos organizes residencies, meetings, workshops and public performances, fostering dialogue between creators, professionals and audiences from different generations. Rooted in the local area and rural life, it has established itself as a hub for artistic and cultural development in the Central region of Portugal, promoting the relationship between space, community and the creative process.

Companhia de Música Teatral
Continued the work begun in Babelim - a participatory music and movement show. We worked with children and teenagers aged 9 to 17, exploring the spaces where voice, body and movement meet and enable us to communicate without words.

A creative residency by Monde Imagination, which explored the prison universe by blending dance, music and spoken word based on inmates' testimonies. The creation examined the human condition in a cloistered context, affirming the body as a space of resistance and freedom.

Research and creation residency Some Dance To.... The work explored the relationship between abstract dance and everyday gestures, integrating archive footage and a sensitive approach to the body as a testimony to life and movement. Collaboration through the European network Studiotrade.
Ana Renata Polónia
Artistic residency as part of the Best Portuguese Film award, nominated by the Vo'Arte jury at the 4th edition of the InShadow Festival. The work investigated the intrinsic and everyday movements of the body, transforming simple rituals, such as eating, into sensitive and performative acts, crossing performance and video to capture and reinvent gestures, environments and objects.
Piso Colectivo
Artistic residency as part of the Best Portuguese Film award, nominated by the Vo'Arte jury at the 3rd edition of the InShadow Festival, which explored collective and transdisciplinary creation, improvising with the body, space, sound and words without a final exhibition goal. The project highlighted the connection to the rural context, documenting daily life and strengthening group dynamics and reflection on authorship and creative processes.
