Vo'Arte (PT)
European project that uses the The Art of Connection methodology to promote joint artistic creation between artists with and without disabilities, exploring theatre, music and sound, painting and dance. Based on the recognition that active participation in the arts enhances well-being, reduces stress, promotes physical relaxation and strengthens social connection, the project creates inclusive environments where all participants can develop artistic, social and emotional skills, while fostering collaboration and co-creation.
The project's core methodology provides specific tools for the interaction of vulnerable groups, enabling people in special care contexts to maintain effective and inclusive participation in artistic activities. No One Forgotten organizes training courses, residencies and performances that enable professional and amateur artists to explore these practices, learn to live and create together, and develop qualities such as acceptance, patience, compassion, awareness of their own vulnerability and the ability to co-create.
The project also aims to create a best practice toolkit, that can be reused by other artists and institutions, promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities in different art forms and reinforcing the social and cultural impact of inclusive artistic collaboration. By integrating artists with and without disabilities, No One Forgotten seeks to convert the artistic experience to a space for human connection, skills development and sharing of the experience of life through art.
