CiM - Companhia de Dança is preparing to present a new work at the end of this year, with a premiere in October.
Aldara Bizarro is the choreographer invited to produce the company's new creation. In her own words, the show starts from questions about the city, such as “What new does this city bring me? What does it take away from me? What difficulties do I encounter and what difficulties do the people in the company encounter?”
The artistic residencies have already begun, where the performers explore their relationship with the city and the interweaving of different experiences in a new choreography. As Aldara says, in this process “there is a surrender, a constant discovery” where each experience is welcomed and a surprise is enough to make the choreographer take a new direction.
Throughout the year, CiM dancers will work with Aldara Bizarro in various residencies to build this new creation.
